Bollington & Disitrct Horticultural Society
Grow it, pick it, eat it...... at Bollington Community Centre, Ovenhouse Lane, Bollington
Come and learn about vegetables how to grow them, pick them and prepare them for eating. Yvonne and Peter Holden nursery specialist from Lancashire and they will be giving a practical demonstration on growing vegetables for eating. Yvonne and Peter Holden exhibit at most of the North of England shows and their produce comes from their own seeds which they collect, store and sell to the public The evening entitled ''Grow it, pick it, cook it and eat it''. will be a time to learn about the more unusual vegetables and there will be a chance to sample the vegetables ranging from bean-spouts, herbs, salad leaves to vegetables. The cooking demo will also show you how the vegetables could be used in different recipes. Seeds will be on sale so that you can start to propagate the tasty plants yourself.
